Section A saw wins for Pougher over Blair (10-2), and Bryce over Morton (7-2). Section B saw Taylor with a convincing win over Gallacher (11-0), and McNay with an equally convincing win (7-0) over Braehead runners up Hare in four ends.
Draw 4
One Section A game saw Blair post their first win of the competition over Morton (8-2), with Jamieson stealing 2 in the last end to defeat Pougher (7-6). Gallacher fought back after their morning defeat to defeat Hare (6-3), and McNay took a comfortable win over Harmjanz (9-3).
Draw 5
In the last draw of the day, there was everything to play for - the Section A group games concluded with wins for Bryce (8-3 over Blair) and Jamieson (8-3 over Morton). This secured top spot in the group for Jamieson, who progress straight to the Semi Final (12.30pm Sunday). Bryce and Pougher take their places in the Quarter Finals (9am Sunday).
Harmjanz posted a win against Hare in Section B, and McNay won a tight game against Taylor. Gallacher took top position in Section B (straight to Semi Final), and both Taylor and McNay progress to the Quarter Final stage.
Braehead winners Bryce are still in contention here in Dumfries, but there are lots of other teams also picking up valuable tour points by making the playoff stages!
