British Open - Draw 8

In the Bronze Route finals, two of the games were one sided affairs, with Stuart Marshall romping to a 7-1 victory over Andrew Woolston and James Pougher jumped out to a very early lead over Andrew McAutrie, winning 10-1 after 4 ends. With one more space in the quarters left, the Davis vs Reid game was a much tighter affair, going to an extra end, with the score 5-5. Reid, without hammer, attempted to draw the button with his last, played it too heavy and actually moved his own stone out of shot position, leaving Davis not having to play his final stone and advancing to the quarters.

So tomorrow's line ups in the High road quarters are Kinnear v Davis, Carson v Goodfellow, Bryce v Pougher and Marshall v McCleary

In the Low Road, Fleming will face McAughtrie and Woolston will take on Reid.

In the Consolation Cup Haswell plays Ferguson and Sharp takes on Jackson.

Tomorrow is proving to be a real nail biter of a finish to this years Goldline Scottish Curling Tour, with four teams still having a shot at the top 3 places and £3,500 of prize money. See you in the morning!
