British Open and GSCT prizegiving and Thanks

A few thanks are in order here.

Firstly to Gavin Fleming for his vision and determination to get the British Open back to its rightful place, as a significant event in the Scottish calendar. To Suzanne Burns, Hammy McMillan and the rest of the very accommodating team at Active Stirling and The Peak. To Graham Russel, for all the fantastic photos he took throughout the weekend. To the ice technicians, led by John Heron for providing fast and swingy ice. To Colin and Jeanette Galbraith, for originally providing and then presenting the Colin Galbraith Jnr memorial trophies. To the online scoring team lead by Derek Young. A big thank you must also go to all the other volunteers and officials at this and all the other GSCT events. To Goldline for their continued sponsorship, without whom we could not offer the £3500 tour prize fund. To the tour events themselves, for running such great competitions. And finally to all the competitors in this year’s Goldline Scottish Curling tour.

Hopefully next season will have as exciting a crescendo back at the British Open 2020.
